Zystisches Lymphangiom des mittleren Mediastinums beim Erwachsenen: Zwei Fallberichte sowie Darstellung diagnostischer und therapeutischer Herausforderungen

Abstract

Cystic lymphangiomas are rare (1% of all lymphangiomas, 0.7% of mediastinal tumors), predominantly occurring in the anterior mediastinum. Middle mediastinal localization is rare. They are typically asymptomatic and often found as an incidental finding. EBUS-TBNA serves as a minimally invasive diagnostic and occasionally therapeutic approach, while surgical resection remains the definitive treatment with potential recurrence if resected incompletely. Herein, we present two histologically confirmed middle mediastinal cases managed via EBUS-TBNA aspiration and surgical resection, respectively.
