The Problem
The first year after graduation is the year most spinouts quietly die.
A spinout finishes its accelerator programme with a working product, a small founding team, and an investor or two. What it does not have is a CTO who can scale the engineering function, a CFO who can manage the cap table and runway, or a non-executive director who can open the next door. Founders try to do all of this themselves, and the venture stalls.
Full-time executive hires are not the answer either. Most early-stage spinouts cannot afford the salary, the equity, or the conviction required to bring senior leaders on permanently. The placement model relies on the FDE network already knowing the venture, the founder, and the institutional context. That continuity is the product. We do not place fractional executives into ventures the network has not engaged with first.
Universities running VENTURA™ or engaged through OTTO™ unlock GALLOP™ access for every graduating venture as part of the standard MARATTO™ partnership.
