wireless Power transfer charger in islanded Mode: A Renewable Energy Integration Strategy

Abstract

This paper proposes a stationary wireless power transfer system for electric vehicles (EVs) powered by PV solar panels. Voltage regulation in the system is provided by a boost converter, while the inverter provides the supply to the coils, which ensure contactless energy transfer. Then, the received energy is converted to charge the battery efficiently. The Matlab/Simulink simulations show the stability and reliability of the charging process with a minimum of energy losses. This solution could show how wireless power transfer powered by renewable sources may contribute to taking off pressure from electrical grids, supporting the energy transition toward more sustainability.
