Abstract

English Title: Enhancement of the forest-savannah edge: natural regeneration of the forest in the herbaceous formation - stratification of forest plants in Bombo LumeneThe analysis of the stratification of plants at the forest-savannah edge at Bombo Lumene attests to the natural regeneration of the forest in the herbaceous formation. Results of floristic inventory drawn up in an objective sample in permanent plots of different dimensions reveal conquest, presence of preexisting and growth of plants that are fundamental process of dynamic of natural regeneration of forest in herbaceous formation. Fifty four per cent of 57 species listed in grass formation are forest origin. Fifty per cent individuals of the latter are herbaceous and thirty three per cent are sub-shrubbery. It is a proof of natural regeneration of forest in these settlements that deserve to be sustained with regard to the loading of climate result current environment degradation. Keywords: Presence, forest, settlements, grass formation.
