article
The last few decades have witnessed concurrent progress in deep learning, machine learning, and additive manufacturing. Notably, applications of additive manufacturing (AM) have made significant strides forward in recent years, although their widespread adoption in multiple sectors is still undergoing development. Recently, various artificial intelligence techniques have found use in optimizing additive manufacturing parameters and predicting the mechanical properties of 3D printed parts. This article aims to provide an overview of the synergy between artificial intelligence and additive manufacturing. It also looks at the multiple applications of machine learning and deep learning in the context of additive manufacturing.
