The comparative study of Differential Transform Method (DTM) and Variation of Parameters (VOP) method for the solution of Navier Slip problem has been carried out to check for accuracy and efficiency. The Navier Slip equations basically describe the systems of nonlinear partial differential equations accounting for the motion of incompressible viscous fluid where exact solutions may not be easily accessible. The VOP approach is based on the concept of treating the unknown functions in the solution of partial differential equations as parameters to be determined in the solution process. The VOP was used to get the exact solution of the Navier slip problem, while DTM (a semi-analytical numerical approach) was deployed to obtain the numerical values using Maple 18. The results obtained were compared with existing data with an excellent agreement.
