Mobile banking holds promise for increasing financial inclusion in Somalia, where mobile phone infrastructure far outpaces access to traditional banking. This study investigated factors driving intentions to use mobile banking amongst 130 Somalis using a quantitative survey. Perceived ease of use, usefulness, and trust in security were found to positively influence adoption intentions; while perceived cost and risks showed no significant effect. Outcomes suggest that improving user-friendly design, emphasizing practical benefits, and conveying reliability of mobile banking platforms should be prioritized to accelerate uptake.
