Trevor’s disease of the wrist: A case report and literature review

Abstract

Dysplasia Epiphysealis Hemimelica is rare. Few cases involving the upper limb have been reported. We report a rare case of Dysplasia Epiphysealis Hemimelica that affected the wrist in a 5-year-old boy. Her mother noticed a painless, nonfebrile swelling of the right wrist a week before admission. Radiological and MRI findings were compatible with a Dysplasia Epiphysealis Hemimelica. We opted for nonoperative treatment. Dysplasia Epiphysealis Hemimelica should be considered when evaluating a bone mass of the wrist. Patients with no obvious deformity or functional impairment should be considered for nonoperative management.
