The global economy is largely sustained by agriculture, which accounts for the majority of its inhabitants. Chitosan, normally occurring substance made from crab shells, is produced in industry. The material has been utilized to enhance vegetable growth and output, as well as to safeguard against fungi, bacteria, and viruses. The biopolymer “nanochitosan” has generated considerable interest due to its high biological compatibility, biodegradability, and biological activity, which make it a potential agricultural polymer. Many plant species use it as an inducer, which not only stimulates the immune system but also raises crop yields. Chitosan enhanced plant effectiveness by reducing the adverse effects of unfavorable circumstances and plant growth. A new approach to improve crop yield through Chitosan NPs is being developed. This review examines the applications of ChNPs in improving fruit crops’ standard and yield.
