Youth unemployment is a devastating issue to individuals and society as a whole, it is one of the causes of militancy, violent crimes, restiveness, kidnappings and other social delinquencies in the society. This study reviewed literatures on the efforts made by government in Nigeria to address this menace, and the extent at which it affected the society. Recommendations were also provided in line with what the study has discovered in order to help policy makers and other stakeholders to find solutions to the problem.
