The Effects and the Optimum Level of Technical Efficiency on Smallholder Farmers' Food Security in Tanzania: A Case of Maize Intercropping and Monocropping

Abstract

the materials included insists on the positive and significant linkage between technical efficiency and food security in Tanzania, where as technical efficiency improves with food security in households that intercropped maize and those that practised monocropping. However, households that intercropped maize and legumes outperform maize and other crops intercropping and maize monocropping.
