This paper explores the dynamic relationship between technological innovation and the green economy, with a focus on Nigeria’s sustainable development. Drawing from empirical and theoretical literature published between 2019 and 2025, the study evaluates how innovation in sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, manufacturing, fintech, and education contributes to green economic transformation. Panel regression analysis and qualitative meta-synthesis reveal that green investment and technology adoption significantly enhance GDP growth, human development, and environmental quality. However, challenges such as institutional weaknesses, policy inconsistencies, and limited innovation capabilities persist. Strategic integration of green investment with policy reform, skills development, and innovation systems is critical for Nigeria’s transition to a low-carbon, inclusive economy.
