This present work examines the corrosion inhibitory potential of new ultravanadyl glasses, made using the traditional melt-quenching method, with nominal compositions (0.25-x) Bi 2 O 3 - x Nb 2 O 5 - 0.75V 2 O 5 for 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.15. The X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) was employed to identify the sample's phase. Structural investigation was achieved using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy. The physical parameters namely density (ρ), volume (Vm), oxygen packing density (OPD) and ionic concentration (N) of the glassy matrix were studied in relation to the substitution of Bi 2 O 3 by Nb 2 O 5 . The inorganic compounds were evaluated in this work for their ability to inhibit corrosion of mild steel in 1.0 M HCl. These agents interact with the metal surface, forming a protective layer that reduces corrosion rates. Potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) analyses were used to monitor their performance.
