SmartCare and Its Advantages in Biomedical Technologies and Health Informatics

Abstract

The improvement of treatment effectiveness as well as the minimization of treatment expenses constitute significant financial and health problems in emergency medicine contexts. Numerous experimental investigations prove that following such therapeutic recommendations has a beneficial effect in this regard. Care plans are crucial parts of scientifically proven healthcare because they provide informative best practices in medical services. Nonetheless, healthcare professionals find it difficult to put medical recommendations into practice in the hospital. An awareness SmartCare technology was recently built and applied, which automates healthcare industry regulation in emergency medicine. Because SmartCare executes several or many diagnostic recommendations on a particular piece of healthcare equipment, it is classified as a diagnostic regulation engine. SmartCare was first used to automate the management of oxygen therapy, and it is being tested in a European multicenter medical trial that began two years ago. Preliminary evaluations were very encouraging, indicating that SmartCare reduces the period of respiratory support by a numerically substantial amount. Thanks to the technique, SmartCare can be used in conjunction with other implantable equipment and/or with some other applicable recommendations. The advantages of SmartCare in biomedical technologies and health informatics are discussed in this review.
