Security Governance in IOT Environment: A State of Art

Abstract

With the increase in utilization of the internet of things (IOT) in information systems (IS), providing appropriate lever and type of governance in environment and security control in the same environment has become the new challenge limiting the adoption of this new paradigm. The aim of this paper is to compare the latest models of IOT's governance frameworks applicable for this type of environment such as: CobiT, ITIL and ISO 2700X. This paper aims at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each model and proposing a list of evaluation criteria to be used while using IOT and to solve the problem of security by adopting a better governance.
