Secrecy Performance Analysis of AmBC-assisted MEC System with Backscatter Device Selection

Abstract

This work investigates the secrecy performance of an ambient backscatter communication (AmBC)-aided mobile edge computing network. A computationally-constrained user offloads its tasks to a computational access point in the presence of a passive eavesdropper. A selection scheme is proposed to select an AmBC user to offload its task, while inducing jamming signals on the eavesdropper. Closed-form expressions are derived for the system success probability (SSP) and the asymptotic SSP over Nakagami- m fading for the interference-limited regime. Numerical results investigate the impact of key parameters on the SSP and show that the proposed selection scheme achieves better performance than the Round-Robin and random selection schemes.
