Robustness analysis of mechanical system performance generally aims to identify whether the system performs as predicted for expected parameter variations. The main objective of robust control is to keep the closed loop stable and ensure a certain level of performance, but also to reduce the sensitivity of the control structure in the presence of parametric variations and possible disturbances affecting the model of the system to be controlled. In this work, we have analyzed robustness and applied robust control to solve the problem of automatic control of a vehicle’s active suspension. In order to evaluate the impact of uncertain parameters on the performance of the system under study, several simulations have been presented.
