The El Haouz 2023 earthquake caused extensive damage and displaced many people. A strategic roadmap is necessary for successful adoption of advanced technologies in the post-earthquake context. Land prospection is a critical step in reconstruction, but it can encounter obstacles such as limited land availability, geological and environmental risks, and social and economic constraints. This study explores the potential of geospatial artificial intelligence (GeoAI) in modernizing land prospection in post-earthquake contexts. A systematic review of literature identified previous GeoAI applications in post-earthquake interventions. The findings indicate that GeoAI can significantly contribute to land selection by providing accurate and real-time information on terrain features, hazards, and limitations. The study proposes a methodological framework for integrating GeoAI into post-earthquake land selection challenges based on lessons learned from prior experiences. The implications of this study are significant for decision-makers, practitioners, and researchers in the field.
