Reconfiguration of Distribution and Optimal Placement of Decentralized Production Poles in the RIN (Northern Interconnected Networks) Cameroon: Case of Adaptive Genetic Algorithm

Abstract

This article proposes a meta heuristic adaptive genetic algorithm applied to the RIN (northern interconnected network) Cameroon with the aim of optimizing the network topology and the placement of distributed generation (DG) in particular power losses and optimizing stability tension; this With an estimation of convergence performances and a comparison with current literature; the methodological approach presents the different stages of execution of the algorithm on the RIN by indicating the positions for which it is necessary to inject active power for the stability of the online voltage profile; the matlab 2018.b software tool is used for the simulation and control of the RIN in this study; The results obtained offer a reduction in power losses of 6.2669%, with a power of 514.0293 KW before reconfiguration and 481.8154 KW after reconfiguration. For a voltage 0.96824 pu before reconfiguration and 0.9707 Pu after reconfiguration; thus showing the efficiency and performance of the proposed method in optimizing the management of the reconfiguration of electrical networks. This work is therefore positioned as a multi-objective contribution for the intelligent management of distribution networks and in particular that of Cameroon for the $\mathbf{2 0 3 0}$ horizon.
