Reconfigurable All Digital Transmitter Based on CRFB Delta-Sigma Modulation

Abstract

An all-digital transmitter (ADT) based on cascade of resonators with distributed feedback (CRFB) DSM is proposed in this paper. The 1-bit CRFB DSM is presented, which allows the frequency to be tuned flexibly. By using the presented CRFB DSM, an ADT is designed and implemented on the field programmable gate array (FPGA) for demonstration. In the experiment, the single-band transmission is achieved. The measured adjacent channel leakage ratios (ACLRs) of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$10-\text{MHz}$</tex> signals are below −39 dBc during the frequency tuning range of 0.6 to 2.8 GHz. It verifies that the proposed ADT based on CRFB DSM brings the advantages of flexible reconfiguration and good ACLR.
