Fluid dynamics stands at the intersection of classical science and modern technological innovation, encompassing applications that extend from industrial manufacturing and biomedical systems to sustainable energy, climate modeling, and environmental processes. Its inherent complexity and versatility make it a cornerstone discipline for addressing many of today's most significant scientific and engineering challenges. This special issue on “Recent Advances in Fluid Dynamics and Its Applications” presents a collection of selected papers originating from the International Conference on Applications of Fluid Dynamics 2024. The contributions highlight the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary fluid mechanics through studies spanning turbulence and multiphase flow, transport phenomena, thermal and mass transfer processes, and magnetohydrodynamics, as well as emerging topics in biofluid dynamics, renewable energy, and environmental modeling.
