The evolution of technology and the increasing demand for safety and luxury have led to the development of advanced tracking solutions with wide-ranging applications. This paper presents an in-depth investigation into the design, implementation, and system architecture of an OBD GPS tracking device. Our device offers real-time vehicle tracking while integrating the On-Board-Diagnostics-II (OBD-II) protocol to provide diagnostic and real-time sensor data. Uniquely, our system architecture adheres to the AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) standard, ensuring a highly modular, scalable, and reliable solution suitable for modern automotive applications. Through a dual-mode operation-basic and diagnostic-our device not only enhances route optimization and reduces operational costs but also improves vehicle maintenance and safety. This comprehensive solution, designed and developed in Egypt, aims to compete with international market offerings by providing a cost-effective, high-performance product.
