The transportation sector plays a crucial role in Nigeria's socioeconomic development, necessitating sustainable transportation systems that balance environmental concerns, convenience, and cost. This research quantitatively analyzes the impact of environmental factors, convenience, and cost on the future of transportation in Nigeria using the Transportation Operations and Management System (TOMS) database. It explores ecological sustainability, economic growth, financial development, global trends, life cycle assessment of infrastructure, individual travel expenditure, renewable energy, and novel mobility services. The findings inform policymakers and stakeholders in developing strategies for sustainable transportation aligned with Nigeria's economic development and environmental stewardship.
