Quantifying Change-of-Support Error and False Precision in Transport Climate Exposure: reproducibility archive

2026Open accessUniversity of Ilorin

Abstract

This repository provides the reproducibility materials accompanying the study “Quantifying Change-of-Support Error and False Precision in Transport Climate Exposure”. The archive contains the complete scientific analysis and figure-generation code, compact frozen analytical outputs, the full 18,000-scenario synthetic support-distortion experiment, representation-refinement results, threshold- and hotspot-decision-stability outputs, structural-sensitivity results, independent-validation summaries, figure source data, provenance records, reproducibility instructions, and integrity checks. The analysis evaluates change-of-support error and false precision in climate-exposure assessment across road and rail networks in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. The underlying analysis covers 190,204 transport-network primitives and uses exact native-cell intersection weighting as the reference exposure-transfer method. The archive preserves the numerical evidence required to reproduce the study's support-error assessment, synthetic experiments, representation-refinement analysis, uncertainty comparisons, threshold classifications, hotspot analyses, independent validation, and publication figures. To keep the public reproducibility archive lightweight and reliable, several very large intermediate geospatial and row-level analytical files are not redistributed in this ZIP. Their exact filenames, sizes and SHA-256 hashes are documented in LARGE_DATA_EXCLUDED.csv. These exclusions do not remove the scientific analysis code or the compact frozen outputs supporting the reported results. Primary third-party environmental datasets remain with their original providers and are not relicensed or redistributed where unnecessary.
