PSO method for optimising the demand side management system for peak clipping and load shifting

Abstract

This dataset contains all electricity load data, and tariff information used in the study “PSO Method for Optimising the Demand Side Management System for Peak Clipping and Load Shifting”. It supports research on Demand Side Management (DSM) strategies, including peak clipping, load shifting, and cost reduction across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.Contents:Chapter 3 – Methodology:Table 3.1: Large-user low-voltage TOU tariffs for commercial customers in Paarl (2024–2025), including peak, standard, and off-peak rates.Table 3.2: Summary of high- and low-demand season tariffs with original peak load for DSM analysis.Chapter 4 – Case Studies:Case 1: Hourly load profiles and TOU tariffs for a large commercial customer in Paarl.File: Processed_Paarl_LPU_MVA.xlsxCase 2: Hourly load profiles for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, with Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) applied for peak clipping and load shifting.File: Forecasted_load_profiles.xlsxFormats:Excel (.xlsx) for all raw and processed datasets
