Prevalence and patterns of childhood ocular morbidity in Kinshasa. A population-based study

Abstract

Childhood ocular morbidity in Kinshasa city was dominated by allergic conjunctivitis and refractive errors. The frequency of these conditions varies depending on the age of the children. Very few parents consult medical staff when their children have ocular problems, ignorance and limited financial resources are the principal barriers to consult.
