Predator movements are impacted by anthropogenic disturbance in a managed, forested landscape of East Texas

Abstract

• Bobcats and coyotes exhibit avoidance of anthropogenic features in a modified timber forest habitat in East Texas. • Maintaining low edge-forest ratios can support the conservation of these native carnivores in human-modified landscapes. • Coyotes appear to have a lower tolerance for anthropogenic disturbance than bobcats.
