Multi-port magnetic network energy routers (MNERs) are attractive for applications with integration of multiple renewable sources, storages, and loads with the advantages of high efficiency and power density, high safety with isolation, and high controllability. Hybrid phase shift time sharing (PSTS) control is advantageous for regulating the power flow in MNERs, which decouples the power flow and reduces the filtering capacitance. However, the average operation time is unevenly distributed in different H-bridge ports in MNERs under hybrid PSTS control, which would cause the unbalanced power losses distribution and thus reduce the reliability of MNERs. This paper proposes a duty cycle rotation (DCR)-based power losses balancing method under hybrid PSTS control for MNERs, which rotates the operation duty cycles for different H-bridge ports at an appropriate frequency. The proposed DCR-based method can effectively achieve the power losses balance, and according improve the reliability of MNERs. Simulation studies with the professional tool PLECS are conducted and the simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
