This metadata resource documents the environmental predictor variables used in ecological modeling and data analysis of the persistence vulnerability of African savanna elephants (Loxodonta africana) to Anthropocene threats in East Africa. It provides a standardized inventory of variables, including abbreviations, descriptions, data types, measurement units, and data sources, ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and methodological consistency. This metadata compilation was specifically developed for this study and has not been previously published elsewhere.
