Cooperation among active mobile nodes is necessary for ensuring reliable data transmission in mobile ad hoc networks. This research introduces a new approach of reputation based for internet of things (IoT) systems, by applying the fog computing technologies. By combining fog computing’s near-end data processing with blockchain’s transparency and immutability, the proposed method tackles key challenges such as latency, device load, and the limitations of the old process mechanisms in resource-constrained environments. device and node behaviors are continuously evaluated by a reputation management module, enabling efficient authentication and consensus. Simulation results confirm the method’s ability to dynamically assess trustworthiness and promote fair participation in consensus. This work enhances IoT blockchain technology, providing a scalable and secure solution to the evolving demands of IoT networks.
