The study was conducted in Goncha Siso Enebsie, East Gojam, Amhara Region, Ethiopia, to evaluate the productivity of desho grass varieties under small-scale irrigation and to assess farmers’ perceptions and preferences. The experiment followed a mother–baby trial approach, including a researcher-managed mother trial (RCBD, four replications) and farmer-managed baby trials (four replication). Four recommended desho grass varieties (K Kosha 591, Kindo Kisha-DZF#590, Kindo Kisha-DZF#589, and Kulumesa 592) were evaluated.
