The eruption of teeth in newborns is a rare disorder of the oral cavity and are called natal teeth when they are present at birth, and neonatal teeth when they erupted during the neonatal period (first 30 days of life). Natal teeth, can give rise to a range of complications, including feeding difficulties and traumatic injuries, as well as more serious concerns like the risk of aspiration caused by excessive tooth mobility. To facilitate early detection and effective treatment, a close collaboration between pediatricians and dentists is strongly advised. The objective of this article is to discuss the diagnosis and management of natal teeth, and describe a case of a newborn with natal teeth.
