This deposit contains the code used to generate synthetic data andrun the analysis for a wavelet-thresholding signal detection method(MWSD) in fractal noise backgrounds. The method derives a per-scaledetection threshold from extreme-value theory, using a level-specificnoise estimate rather than a single global one. Contents:- reproduce_mwsd_rct.py: the complete script, covering data generation, the detection method, baseline comparisons, and analysis, through running the full simulation.- requirements.txt: dependencies. All data are synthetic, generated deterministically from documentedrandom seeds; no external dataset is required. No pre-computedresults, tables, or figures are included; running the scriptgenerates these directly. This version supersedes all earlier versions of this record. Earlierversions used a background generator and a detection threshold laterfound to be flawed. Those earlier versions should not be used orcited.
