The objective of the present work is to examine the impact of initially stress and magnetic field on a two-dimensional problem involving generalized, fractional order strain thermo-visco-elastic material, based on the Moore-Gibson-Thompson (MGT) theory. The normal mode analysis is used to obtain the analytical expressions of physical quantities in the physical domain. Subsequently, these expressions are computed using numerical methods and visually shown using graphs. Finally, the results of the study are examined in both the absence and presence of the viscosity, magnetic field, initial stress and fractional parameter.
