The optimal control of temperature in neonatal incubators is crucial for providing a stable and comfortable environment for newborns. This article presents a comprehensive study on the application of PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control tuning using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) in both skin mode and air mode control systems for incubators. The control algorithms are implemented using LabVIEW and the myRIO platform, enabling real-time control and monitoring. Experimental results demonstrate the successful application of PID control with PSO optimization in both skin mode and air mode control. The system achieves accurate temperature regulation within the desired setpoints, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for newborns. The myRIO platform enables seamless communication and integration with the real-time incubator system.
