Modeling a Personalized Online Pedagogical Scenario with Instructional Management System Learning Design Model (IMS-LD)

Abstract

The advent of Adaptive Hypermedia Systems (AHS) has aroused a great deal of interest among researchers, especially with regard to the pedagogical models of constructivist and social constructivist learning. The learning scenario is a key element of learning design. It is a description of the learning experience and the activities that the learner will have to do in order to achieve the pedagogical objectives. The adaptive hypermedia system uses the scenario to assess the learner's knowledge, identify gaps, and suggest appropriate activities and resources to support learning. Using the IMS-LD model allows for personalized modeling and structuring of the learning scenario, considering the individual learner's specific objectives and interests. This personalization makes it easier to adapt educational materials to personal requirements. At this stage, through this article we propose our pedagogical scenario, which is composed of three scenarios: the learning scenario, the learning device scenario, and the tutoring scenario, as well as the personalized modeling of the pedagogical scenario according to the IMS-LD model, which will allow us to personalize the learning content in an AHS by providing the appropriate scenario and information about the objectives and interests of learners.
