Digitalization has emerged as a new phenomenon that many countries and sectors are embracing for their economic growth. Firms in the electricity sector need continuous adaptation to digital transformation to effectively create value for stakeholders. The challenge lies in identifying managerial roles that affect the business value of digital technology. This study aimed to explore the roles of management in harmonising information systems and organisational strategies from the perspectives of sociotechnical systems. The study explored management roles in Ghana's electrical industry's digital transformation using a survey research design, examining perspectives from a randomly sampled population. The study highlights the importance of management informational and leadership roles in firms' digital transformation in the electricity industry. This study contributes to the roles of management in adapting digital technology for the transformation of firms.
