Leverage of Coriolis-force on Maxwell-fluid flow past an inclined stretching plate

20241 citationOpen accessAin Shams University

Abstract

The Maxwell-fluid describes the polymer flow such as in food processing and cooling metallic plates, etc. A lot of published articles investigate the maxwell-fluid flow over-stretching surfaces, this article considers the leverage of the Coriolis-force on stretching surface. The considered problem is modeled with suitable boundary conditions in the form of (PDEs). The leverage of the surface inclined angle in addition to the heat generation, Prandtl, and Grashof number on the fluid velocity and temperature are investigated in the presence of Coriolis-force. The results show that increasing the surface inclined angle, Prandtl number, or Coriolis-force will decrease the fluid velocity while the temperature increases. On the other hand, increasing the Grashof number or the heat generation increases the fluid velocity and decreases the temperature. The Coriolis-force increases skin friction and enhances the heat exchange.
