UV water treatment is essential for modern agriculture, particularly for greenhouse irrigation, as it ensures effective disinfection without the use of chemicals, thereby guaranteeing crop safety and sustainable use of water resources. In this study, we present the development and implementation of an intelligent Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) control system to optimize the operational parameters of a UV water treatment reactor, specifically the UV lamp intensity and the water flow rate, to ensure optimal water quality for greenhouse irrigation. The results demonstrate that the intelligent MPPT control effectively regulates these parameters, ensuring stable and reliable water treatment. By optimizing the exposure of contaminants to UV rays, the system maximizes pathogen inactivation and improves water safety. Furthermore, it was found that precise adjustments of UV intensity and water flow rate reduced variations in UV dose and improved treatment uniformity, leading to enhanced overall system performance.
