Implemented nature‑based solutions (NbS) and ecosystem‑based adaptation (EbA) in African cities, 2005–2025: study‑level extraction dataset and typology metrics.

Abstract

A study‑level extraction dataset (n = 112) describing implemented urban NbS/EbA across African cities, including bibliographic metadata, intervention types, ecosystems/locations, governance and stakeholder roles, outcome categories (adaptation, mitigation, people‑centred, nature), (dis)services/trade‑offs, barriers/enablers, and an empirically derived six‑class typology with multi‑label flags for interventions observed at multiple sites. The package also includes typology tallies suitable for figures and maps.
