Impact of Spraying the Bunches of Barhee Date Palms with the Various Boron Sources And / Or Zinc Sulfate on Fruit Chemical Aspects

Abstract

This research study commenced in during two consecutive growing seasons (2021 and 2022) on Barhee date trees cultivated in Wadi El-Natron, El Behera governorate, Egypt.Adding elements to soil is not the greatest way to fix the problem, so natural biological enrichment was used, which incorporates these nutrients in one of its approaches. It is well known that boron and zinc elements are primarily responsible for plant development and product nutritional quality, despite the availability of many minerals and the efficiency of usage. Spraying fertilizers protects them from being fixed in the soil.For assess the effects spraying Barhee date palms with various boron sources and/or zinc sulfate before pollination and one month later on the chemical properties of the fruit of Barhee date palms. The findings of the study indicate that chemical composition of dates significantly increased TSS, TA and all other fruit chemical properties of Barhee date palm cultivar. Results clarified that, spraying boric acid "just before pollination and one month later" at 4g/L with spraying zinc sulfate at 300 mg/L TSS, fruit TA, total sugars, reducing sugars, non-reducing and fruit nutrients content of Barhee date palm in the two experimental seasons.
