Various studies have been carried on the use of various bioactive compounds from plants in the treatment of microbial diseases. This trend became paramount as a result of various traits and new traits of microorganisms that developed remarkable resistance to numerous existing drugs. There is therefore need for novel antibiotics with outstanding has become the pressing area of investigation. In this regards, plants materials are preferred due to the presence of various biologically active compounds in the extracts of these plants. Also with the advent of nanotechnology, attempts have been made in the integration of nanotechnology in this dimension. The adoption of nanotechnology is promising because of the remarkable and exceptional properties of materials at nanometer scale. In this chapter, the nanofungicidal and other biological activities of Citrusllus lanatus (Thunberg) are discussed. The chapter gives a detail description of Citrullus lanatus , the antifungal potential of silver nanoparticles that are synthesized from C. lanatus, the antipyretic potential as well as cardiovascular effects. Also, the anticancer potential, apoptotic effects and antidiabetic potentials are also highlighted.
