Hernie inguino-scrotale géante à l'Hôpital La Charité à Mbandaka : à propos d'un cas rare pris en charge plus de 30 années après le début de l’affection

Abstract

La hernie inguino-scrotale géante est irréductible par perte de droit de cité. La gravité de cette entité pathologique est liée à l’hyperpression intra abdominale des viscères lors de la cure. Nous décrivons un cas rare d’une hernie inguino-scrotale géante traitée plus de 30 ans après le début de l’affection. La particularité de ce cas est caractérisée par sa prise en charge tardive sans complication, la réparation pariétale sans usage d’une prothèse ainsi que la prise en charge simultanée de la grosse hernie et l’hydrocèle. Les suites opératoires ont été simples. The intra-abdominal hyperpressure induced by the reintegration of the viscera during the cure makes it serious. We report an observation of giant inguinoscrotal hernia lasting more than 35 years associated with hydrocele recently treated in a hospital in Mbandaka. The particularity of this case is characterized by its late management without complications, the parietal repair without use of prosthesis as well as the simultaneous management of the large hernia and the hydrocele. The surgical aftermath was simple.
