This study is on green human resource management practices and corporate performance of commercial banks in Enugu state. The main objective of this study is to examine green human resource management practices and corporate performance of commercial banks in Enugu state. Specifically, the work aimed to determine the effect of green training on profitability in and ascertain the effect of green performance appraisal on customer service delivery in commercial banks in Enugu state. The study employed descriptive survey design. The population for the study was one thousand, one hundred and fifty (1150) staff of the financial institutions used for the study, a sample size of 288 was determined using the Freund and William's statistic formula. The main instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire. Frequency distributions, percentages, means, and standard deviations were calculated for each survey question to summarize the data and understand the central tendencies and dispersion. A One-Sample t-test was performed to test the hypotheses developed for the study with the aid of SPSS version 26. The results of the study revealed that green training does have a significant positive effect on profitability in commercial banks in Enugu State and also, that green performance appraisal does have a significant positive effect on customer service delivery in commercial banks in Enugu State. It was concluded that the effectiveness of integrating green practices into human resource management strategies, demonstrating that such initiatives not only foster a sustainable work environment but also drive improved financial and service outcomes. It was recommended among other things that banks should prioritize green training programs to enhance environmental awareness and skills, thereby boosting overall profitability and competitiveness.
