The future of groundwater is one of the major axes of sustainable water resources management. In order to protect and develop these resources, a geochemical study was carried out for the Angads groundwater, which is located in the north-east of Morocco. In order to highlight the hydrogeochemical facies that characterize the study area, we have done this, physicochemical analyses were carried out on all the groundwater samples from the Angad aquifer in Oujda and represented on the Schoeller-Berkaloff diagram and the Piper diagram. The results of the Piper diagram show the predominance of calcium and magnesium chloride and sulphate facies with a percentage of 89.47%, whereas the sodium and potassium chloride facies represent only 10.52%. The results of the Schoeller-Berkaloff diagram show that the groundwater from these sampling points has the same profile, with the exception of points 7, 8, 10, and 15, which have high values of certain elements, namely Na+, K+, Cl−, HCO3 − and Mg2+. These results make it possible to determine the geochemical facies, the characteristics, and the interactions of these groundwaters to know the mineralogical quality, which constitutes an added value for the health of the population to consider an effective and sustainable strategy for the protection of the mineralogy of these waters.
