Fostering a Cyber Security Culture & Cyber Hygiene Among the Generation Z. A Synthesis Approach

Abstract

Online users who act irresponsibly or improperly raise the risk of a security attack on the information systems they use. Despite the fact that device technical security is always getting better, recent studies have shown that the human element continues to pose a serious threat to the system. A strong cyber security culture and good cyber hygiene can lessen this threat. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the importance of fostering a cyber security culture & cyber hygiene among the generation Z. This study used a synthesis approach when conducting literature review. The literature also identified gaps in young people's cyber hygiene, cyber security culture, and awareness, as well as possible future directions for some of the issues.
