Bayesian posterior probabilities> 0.90 are indicated at nodes above the species level. Vertical bars on the right denote groups identified by molecular delimitation methods: Assemble Species by Automatic Partitioning (ASAP), the single-threshold generalized mixed Yulecoalescent (GMYC) model and the Bayesian Poisson Tree Processes (PTP) method. Major clades are distinguished by colour coding, with an inset showing their geographic distribution and representative photo vouchers for species within Clade 1. Species names are followed by locality codes, detailed in Supp. file 1: Table S1. Scale bar below the topology: substitutions per site.
