Abstract

Factors associated with hybrid immunity in healthcare workers infected with COVID 19 <bold>Introduction:</bold> Hybrid immunity is the result of an innate immunity following a previous infection with that induced by vaccination. The aim of our study is to analyze the factors associated with hybrid immunity against SARS cov2 in health workers (HP) at a university hospital in Kairouan, Tunisia <bold>Methods:</bold> This is a retrospective study of health workers at Ibn Aljazzar university hospital affected by COVID-19 and monitored in the Department of occupational Medicine over an 8-month period from 1 January 2022 to 31 August 2022 <bold>Results:</bold> Our study included 217 healthcare workers. Our study population was predominantly female, with a sex ratio (M/F) of 0.23. The mean age was 41 years. Among the participants, 178 HCPs (82%) had at least one comorbidity. The most common medical history was hypertension (15.2%), diabetes (14.8) and asthma (11.1). The majority of patients with a history of Covid infection were reinfected only once (n=105, 82.9%). Our study found that overweight/obesity (p=0.002) and cardiovascular history (p=0.017) were significantly associated with hybrid immunity in univariate analysis. After multiple linear regression, the variables with a positive and significant effect on hybrid immunity were: cardiovascular history (β=0.21, p=0.011); overweight and obesity (β=0.19; p=0.016). Age had a negative and significant effect on hybrid immunity (β=- 0.22, p=0.009). <bold>Conclusion:</bold> Our study found that cardiovascular history, overweight and obesity had a positive and significant effect on hybrid immunity
