Prospective, quantitative cohort study that recruited 130 participants, 100 of the participants had vaginal delivery while 30 had Caesarean section. Consecutive sampling was done until the calculated sample size was reached. Transperineal imaging was done with the patient in a semirecumbent position and the images were obtained using 2D Logiq V2 General electric ultrasound machine. A digital exam was done to confirm the participant was in latent labour before. The levator ani muscle anteroposterior diameter had a negative correlation of -0.258 with duration of second stage with a significant P value of 0.01. Coactivation had no significant P value when an associated with duration of second stage was done. The P value was 0.330. Levator ani muscle diameter is has a strong predictive value when it comes to duration of second stage. This reflects what previous studies have found.
