Next-generation networks (NGNs) are evolving with trends like 6G technology, which offers high capacity and low latency. Our work explores the integration of 6G with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Multipath Traffic Controllers (MTCs) to distribute traffic over multiple paths, mitigating congestion and enhancing transmission speeds. This is crucial for bandwidth-intensive multimedia services like live gaming and streaming. Our contribution is a dynamic adaptive multipath routing (DAMR) strategy using SDN architecture that aims at minimizing end-to-end delays while maximizing throughput and optimizing resource utilization. Simulations with OMNeT++ demonstrate significant improvements in these areas compared to existing methods, enhancing service quality for end users. The paper advocates transitioning from single path to multipath SDN architecture, offering increased adaptability, resilience, and efficiency. We provide guidelines for network administrators to support this transition, improving traffic management, reliability, resource utilization, and scalability.
